As bad as we can be tonight but we still manage to come away from Darwen with a 1-0 win.
Not good enough all over the park in all aspects of our game and the first half it was all Darwen.
HT 0-0
Second half we came out much better to start with and it was Jamie Menagh who got what proved to be the only goal of the game.
Receiving a ball on the left hand side he jinked his way into the box taking on 2/3 players before rifling in a cracking left footed finish.
And that’s as good as it got in the second half Darwen having more of the clear cut chances but both keepers didn’t make any saves of note.
FT 1-0
The lads no there performance was way way below the standards we set ourselves but sometimes you have these games and it’s how you come through them and I’d be a fool not to praise them for digging deep and digging in to grind that result out.
Four games in twelve days and we come away with four wins with three of those coming on our travels in the league it’s safe to say you got to be happy with that return.
MOM there want many contenders in truth but Jamie Menagh got the vote for his sublime goal and his desire to drag us through that second half.
Sadly it’s a four week break for us but it gives us time to nurse through a few of the injuries we have and also get a couple of new faces in as we look to add even more strength and quality to the squad with a few outgoings also to announce.
As always thanks to those who were in attendance (advised not too) your support was greatly appreciated.
Stay safe folks and we will hopefully see you the first week of December when the Breck rollercoaster gets moving once again.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...
