Another massive win today going to Prestwhich Heys and winning four nil and looking more than comfortable in doing so.
It was strange opening to the game with the first 25 minutes going by without either keeper being tested our lack of composure on the ball being the only thing preventing us from taking control.
After a much needed water break we soon found that composure and soon found ourselves going in front.
A whipped in cross from the right hand side wasn’t dealt with and Luke Duffy was on hand to slot home a neat and tidy finish from close range.
Duffy turned provider on the stroke of half time with a cracking corner being powered home by the head of Mick Douglas.
HT 2-0
Our third came eight minutes into the second half with Mitchell Culshaw delivering a ball after some great footwork and after Mick Dougie seen his header saved Luke Duffy was on hand to slot home a comfortable finish.
It was game management after that and at times we played some quality keep ball but we also could have made the game even easier if we wanted to.
A cracking goal in the 88th minute finished the game off and it was a delightful ball from Mitchell Culshaw who put it on a plate for Jamie Henders who nodded home a equally delightful finish.
FT 4-0
A classy showing today and when you take into account the game the lads played in on Thursday night that left a good few with heavy legs and plenty of niggles to then go to Prestwhich and win this comfortably all the praise/plaudits goes to the lads for the shifts they have put in.
Some quality performances all over the park but the MOM vote went to Tom Kinsella who’s hard running and graft makes it easier for the rest of the lads to do there jobs and Tom always leaves all he got on the pitch.
In reality it could have been any of the lads who got the vote today they all grafted there plums of to get the win on a very hot day at Heys.
We’re back on our travels next week as we got to AFC Blackpool looking for our 8th win on the spin.
Nice one to those who could travel today it was greatly appreciated and thanks to little Shay Hart David Hart for being our mascot for the day.
We Go Again.
