A massive win tonight for the Breck coming back from two nil down to win 4-3.
Disappointed with both goals with a man being lost at the corner and another defensive mix up costing us dear when one off the lads involved just had to take control of the situation.
Lost are way for the next five minutes but then for the last thirteen minutes of the half the real Breck turned up.
Tom Kinsella starting the fightback after a lay off from Ste Milne Tom cracker one from 30 yards with the keeper only getting finger tips to it.
It was another cracking 30 yard strike that seen us get the equaliser with Liam Morris jinking past a few players before hitting a cracking strike that the keeper failed to deal with Paul Mooney laying the ball to Liam at the start of the move.
A penalty from Ste Milne seen us complete the 13 minute fightback after he was hauled down as he was about to get a shot off.
HT 3-2
We started the second half very well against a shellshocked Ashton and we hit another cracking goal with a Paul Mooney whipped in freekick being powered home at the back stick by Johno Swatton.
It was all about game management then for the remainder of the game and until we gave away a sloppy ball on the halfway which got them there third we was looking well in concrete.
A nervey eight minutes followed but we seen the game out and grabbed a massive 3 points.
FT 4-3
Had to show some big bollocks (sorry mum) there tonight after giving away two poor goals but lads went through the storm and pulled out a cracking win against a team who apparently had nothing to lose...!
Leagues ain’t won in September but statements are certainly made and we showed what we about tonight when it mattered most against a very good Ashton Town.
MOM Liam Morris a outstanding performance capped by a quality individual goal.
The way he plays the game it’s a pleasure to watch at times.
A mention for Johno Swatton who was also class tonight in his new rampaging left back role.
Thanks to all in attendance tonight 185 is a cracking crowd on a Thursday night.
It’s a quick turnaround as we travel to Prestwhich Heys on Saturday in another massive league game.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...
