Delighted with that win today beating Chadderton 5-1
A early goal from Mitchell Culshaw settling us right with a near and tidy finish.
We had to wait another half hour for our second of the game and it was a delightful ball from Luke Duffy who found Mick Douglas who was having a cracking first half and he got the goal his performance was deserving.
We looked like we could score at will but was wasting the chances to extend the lead even further and it took a great save from Josh Molloy to keep Chadderton out just before the half time whistle.
HT 2-0
Luke Duffy turned provider again not long after the restart supplying Ste Milne who found the bottom corner and it was reward for his hard work in the opening 55 minutes.
Chadderton grabbed a goal back and it was struck effort from outside the box with the lads switching off thinking the job was down.
Our fourth was the goal of the game and it was Man Of The Match Conor Roberts who bent in a unstoppable freekick from just outside the box finishing the far right hand corner (watch the video ?).
The game was wrapped up soon after and it was another quality finish this time Luke Duffy getting amongst the goals and capping his quality performance with a shot hit the post and in with Bobby Walsh the provider.
FT 5-1
A perfect response to what’s been a tough week for us at the Breck as we no we let ourselves down badly midweek and those who had travelled to watch us also.
But the lads did what was asked today and a few lads stepped up there games and it showed in the chances we was creating and the goals we scored.
Credit to Josh Molloy who took a nasty blow to his finger in the warm up looking like a dislocation or break but sucked it up strapped it up and played on in proper Breck spirit.
Man Of Match went to Conor Roberts who put in a quality performance in the middle of the park and his feeekick alone was worthy of the vote.
It’s a quick turnaround as we host St Helens Town on Monday afternoon in another huge game as we wrap up a hectic month of August.
We would love to see a good crowd down at Anny Sports as we look kick on once again.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...
