Travel Issues Cant Hold The Breck Back...

A eventful day for the lads and those who made the trip but we got what we travelled all the way to Cleator Moor for and that was a 4-1 win.

After a late start to the journey and issues with the coach on route we landed there late so pre game preparations weren’t the best but the lads put it to one side and went out and put in a big performance with first 45 minutes seeing us play some quality football on a bobbly surface.

After a few great early chances with Ste Milne and Jamie Henders looking lively we got our opener with a parrieds shot from Ste Milne being well saved by the Cleator Moor keeper but Jamie Henders was on hand to knock it in from close range.

A penalty quickly followed with Hendo being brought down as he beat the keeper to the ball but it was missed by the usually clinical Jay Colbeck with the keeper making a good save but it wasn’t Jay’s beat effort.

That was quickly forgotten about as we got a freekick on the edge off the box and up stepped Paul Mooney who smashed it straight at the keeper with the power and pace taking it straight under the keepers legs.

Johno Swatton then got in on the goal action heading home unmarked from a great set piece delivery from Tom Kinsella.

HT 3-0
Came out with the same intention second half and it started just like the first with Jamie Henders delivering a great ball for Luke Duffy to put away (it’s gone down as O.G with the league though).

Cleator Moor then got there goal with a well worked move and a cracking strike to follow from 25 yards out leaving Josh with no chance.
We pushed for more and on another day we put another four or five away but the job was done and the lads seen out the game comfortably.

FT 4-1

A great performance from the bare bones Breck with only 12 lads available even the gaffer got a cameo late on as we grabbed a much needed 3 points as we look to secure a top 3 finish in our fight for FA Cup football next season.

As I said earlier it was a eventful coach trip which only got worse on the way home with the coach leaking fluids we had to stop at Tebay Services for over 2 hours whilst the problem was solved with lads driving from Liverpool to come fix it.

It turned out to be a 13 hour day for the lads but they made the most of it with a little game of toga in the services helped by some light refreshments.

Only issue being the prices at that Tebay Services making us blow next seasons wage budget.

Man Of The Match went to Jamie Henders who put in another big shift out of position and got a much deserved goal and assist to cap a quality showing.

Callum Hill & Paul Mooney also put in big performances and deserve a mention.

Up next we welcome the league leaders who are currently stumbling at the top after dominating the division for so long and with us putting our worst performance of the season in when we went to there place we will be looking to put that game well and truly to bed and dent there title hopes that bit more next week.

We Go Again.
