A rare poor performance today for the Breck as we was beaten away at Prestwich Heys 2-1 with the sucker punch coming in the 95th minute.
As said we didn’t play well at all by our standards and went one nil down after eight minutes.
We got ourselves a equaliser just as half time approached with Luke Duffy getting himself another goal after a great ball from Paul Mooney.
HT 1-1
Started the second half well but that was short lived as we went back into a passage of play were we just couldn’t get anything going with the Preswhich keeper having a very quite day being rarely tested which tells you all about our performance.
We had a cracking chance to win it with a Mick Dougie header going agonising wide
and the last ten minutes we went for it and pushed forward but our football wasn’t flowing and after a couple of mistakes our hosts got a free kick out wide with the resulting kick being delivered into the box and it flashed passed everyone into the far corner with 95 minutes on the clock.
FT 2-1
A point would have been fair today but our hosts did have the better of the chances and they kept going till the end and got there reward late on so you gotta give them all the credit for that.
Just a bad day at the office with the change made today having no impact and other lads putting in way below par performances which we have to say has been a rarity these last two months.
Gutted we don’t have a game next week so we now wait till a week Saturday to get ourselves back to winning ways with a tough away journey to Cleator Moor Celtic our next outing.
Man Of The Match today went to Tom Kinsella who put in a solid performance and a mention for Josh Molloy also who made a cracking save first half and was positivity vocal throughout.
As always massive thanks to all who travelled and thanks to Preswhich Heys for there quality hospitality.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...
