A game of fine margins last night seen us beaten 1-0.
There was nothing in the game until the 44th minute when a short free-kick from Cables was delivered and with the ball being half cleared a shot was blocked, but there was certainly no mistake with the next strike that hit the bottom corner.
Two disappointments in the build up, the match official not giving a clear foul seconds before he gave Prescot the free-kick and then us switching off to the short kick itself which was very poor on our behalf.
HT 0-0
We had the better of the second half Sam Burns with the best opportunity’s, one a good save from the keeper at the near post the second he was unlucky to scuff a first time effort.
FT 0-1
Not a great spectacle in terms of chances for both sides with both looking toothless in the final third, and ultimately it was the finest margins that see Cables take the 3pts which we can’t argue with.
The Probe Services MOM went to Liam Morris who for quality and bravery on the ball was the best player on the park, looked to make things happen and was trying to drive us on throughout.
As always massive thanks to those in attendance a great midweek crowd down at the Anny, and we hope to see a few of you once again on Saturday afternoon when we welcome Shiftnal Town to the Anny.
We Go Aagin.
