From the kick-off we kept the ball well, and it wasn’t long before we got the first opportunity and when Lucas Wilson slid in Elliott Hughes he made no mistake sending the keeper the wrong way.

Ferriby whilst not troubling Alex in goal were always a threat, and they moved the ball around with confidence so we had to make sure we stayed on it and to not offer up any opportunities which we have done well.

A few half chances came and went , but we did look very good in possession.

HT 1-0

We got that all important second goal from a throw in and with Alex Chehera dropping a shoulder to beat two men he hung one up high, and it was that man Luke Gill who somehow got the power in the header to loop it over the North keeper, some header from Gilly.

A foul on Jack Hont seen a red card brandished for a what can only have been a high tackle, few lads said it was high but hard to tell at that moment, but the man in the middle thought so and Ferriby went down to ten.

Number three was sublime from Elliott Hughes. Jack McCourt swinging a ball in which found its way to El, and he took a touch to set himself, flicked it over the defender and then smashed home a first time finish, a truly stunning strike.

We wasn’t finished yet, and it was that man Luke Gill again who powered home another header from a delightful Elliott Hughes delivery.
We had Alex Brown to thank for blanking Ferriby as he produced a stunning save late on to give us the clean sheet we deserved.
A confident display to get us in the hat for the next round.

FT 4-0

It certainly wasn’t as easy as the score line suggests as North Ferriby were always a threat, and we had to keep our levels high to make sure we didn’t let them back into the game at any point, a well managed 90 plus minutes and perfect response to the midweek defeat.

The Probe Services MOM went to Elliott Hughes, two goals, one assist and a constant threat throughout, a pleasure to watch when he at his best,
