Great to be back to winning ways and to put in a very strong and dominant performance beating Atherton Collieries 4-0.

Nasty winds down at the Anny once again and the lads switched it around playing with the wind first half, and it proved to be an excellent decision.

Three goals in a brutal eight-minute spell seen Colls stunned with Lewis Buckley, Sam Burns & Alex Chehera all getting on the scoresheet.
Some outstanding football seen Burns & Chehera having further opportunities to extend the lead but Alex seen his attempt skim the post whilst Sam was twarted by the keeper and not for the first time as he also tipped one of his shots wide also.

Sloppy at times with the ball but in awful conditions it was an A+ first half from the lads.

HT 3-0

Second half was equally impressive, and we managed the game perfectly with Liam Morris making us tick throughout, and it was his ball to Elliott Hughes that helped to wrap the game up, Elliott playing a one two with Nathan Corness and then slotting home comfortably.
A few more decent chances came and went throughout the half but a job more than well done.

FT 4-0

A dominant performance and just what we needed after the previous weeks results, a major factor yesterday was having a near full squad to pick from and especially in the attacking areas also, the tough take of Saturday/ Monday fixtures now fall on us and hopefully all being well we will have the same group available for both.

The MOM vote went to Liam Morris who I thought was outstanding once again, neat and tidy with the ball and his angles offer us so much moving forward.

As always massive thanks to those who came along on another horrible day for the weather, you should know but now, but we will say it again that your support is more than appreciated, and it will be needed more than ever over these next five games.
