Straight back to winning ways yesterday beating Wythenshawe Town 6-0
Thought Wythenshawe started the game the better putting the ball in behind at every opportunity but once we got the first goal it’s fair to say there was only one team in the game.
The first goal came after Lewis Buckley put a great ball through for Sam Burns and as Sam went around the keeper he was taken down, makers takers, and he sent the keeper the wrong way with the penalty.
It was Sam Burns again for the second with a well taken goal from outside the box and Alex Chehera followed suite from outside the box after great hold up play from Bucko, It was Bucko who capped the half off with the fourth goal which the keeper certainly won’t want to see again.
HT 4-0
Second half we got to make all five substitutes and despite being asked to play out of position the lads done what was asked of them and helped to create two more well worked goals.
Paddy Kay looking lively after his introduction took a short corner from Connor MiilSam Burns and after linking up with Connor Millington, Paddy sent home a cool as you like composed finish.
Nathan Corness wrapped the game up with a drop of the shoulder, turn of pace and finish which will do his confidence a world of good after his first full game back in a Breck shirt.
FT 6-0
After the opening 10/15 minutes we got to grips with Wythenshaw Town and put the game to bed by half-time, good to see us being clinical when the chances came (we won’t mention Alex’s scuff with the goal gapping) and also backing it up with a clean sheet also.
The MOM went to Sam Burns, another brace to take his tally to 18 for the season and another very good performance with more to come during the run in am sure.
Horrendous conditions yesterday with the rain pounding down at times but still backed by a great support once again.
Next up we welcome Bury to the Anny which is fair to say is set up for the game of the season.
If you’re planning on coming then please grab a ticket in advance.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck…
