BRECK FIGHT BACK ONCE AGAIN TO TAKE A POINT AT TOWN

LOWER BRECK23 Nov - 21:23

Errors And Inconsistency Need To Be Fixed...

Another tough afternoon on the road at Newcastle Town with a point salvaged after gifting three goals away in the first half.

The game got of to a disastrous start when Theo Roberts coming off his line sliced a ball straight to the Town frontman, he in turn made no mistake with his gift and them presents kept on being presented when a weak Frazer Cookson headed clearance went straight into the path of a Town player who put his teammate in for another soft goal

We sprang into life on the back of the second goal looking dangerous, on the front foot and dominating and its wasn’t long before we got a goal back when a tremendous Alex Cherera delivery found Harry McGee at the back post, Mcgee had to meet it low down with his head, a great ball and finish to get us back into the game.

Sadly the gifts were still being passed out, and after we had a sloppy passage of giving the ball away with blind passwes, we then gave away cheap free kick and after a few un-pressed passes the ball was delivered and Theo seen himself beaten with a header from outside the box, a clever and great directed headed but Theo knows he can’t be beaten from there.

HT 3-1

Second half for the best part it was all Breck and after a few tweaks of the personnel, system and with our hosts looking to protect a two goal lead we penned them in a got the rewards.

The second goal seen a beautiful delivery from Dan Lowey out on the left, and it was met at the front post by Tom Croughan who guided it home, quality from both lads.

We kept knocking on the door and as we approached the 90s Connor Millington unleashed a strike from 25 yards out and with it zipping in front of the keeper it beat him and hit the bottom corner.

We pushed hard for the winner and Town had an opportunity to take all three without getting a shot off, but if anyone was going to win it, it was us, but the winner alluded us, and we take the point.

FT 3-3

We have to stop gifting goals away it’s as simple as that as you won’t win many games or get a point from conceding three’s, once again that said you give the lads credit for coming from two goals down to take a point that keeps us top of the pile and with a few good results around us, it’s a poor gained on some.

The Watch The Time MOM went to Dan Lowey who i thought was unplayable in the second half and he could have five or six assists on another day.

As always a massive thank you to those who followed us on the road, great numbers and vocal support who played their part once again.

Up next we welcome Shifnal Town to the Anny next Saturday afternoon, another big game as we look to enter December still top of the pile.

We Go Again.
