BRECK BOUNCE BACK AND BEAT CHADDY

Another game of two halfs yesterday against Chadderton but this time we come away from with a deserved 3pts.

Started the game well and had a great chance through Lewis Buckley but his effort was down the throat of the keeper.

Theo was then called into action more than once with a stunning one handed save keeping the score level followed by a few routine saves but they still needed to be made.

30 minutes in as stunning strike from Michael Fitzgerald gave us the lead against the run of play it has to be said.

A throw in down the left seen Owen Collinge receive the ball and jink away from a tight area and after moving the ball into space for Fitzy he in turn took a touch, steadied himself and sent home a strike that never stopped rising until it hit the roof of the net.

We went on the front foot and just as we had Chaddy back in there box we turned the ball over too easy and on the counter they broke and after the first effort was saved the follow up wasn’t and it was all square.

HT 1-1

Second half was all Breck it was Bucko who had the majority of those chances but the Chaddy cat was bang in form and he thwarted him on each occasion.

James Murphy seen a cross/shot come of the bar and Owen Collinge near got on the end of a punt by Theo but once again the Chaddy keeper stood firm.

The breakthrough ans winner finally came in the eighty minute.

After a ball fell kindly for us Liam Morris was able to shift a ball out wide to Spud Murphy and Spud was able to back his man into the box before hitting a cracking finish with his right peg.

The last chance of the game fell to Shay Stansfield after a punch out from the keeper and Shay was unlucky to see a looping header bounce of the top of the bar.

FT 2-1

A major positive from the game was the lads taking onboard the half time team talk/instructions and then executing the tactics perfectly.
The Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Michael Fitzgerald who as standard put in a near perfect performance with his wonder strike cementing the vote.
