An injury time goal seen us beaten 3-2 away at Staylbridge Celtic yesterday in the FA Trophy.

Got off to the worst start possible with another two goals conceded in the same old soft fashion.

The first goal seen Billy Edmondson turn the ball over in his own half, and before we knew it the ball was in the back of the net.

That was quickly followed by another ball turned over way too easy when Jack Hont tried to find Bohan Dixon, the pass was cut out shifted across the pitch and a shot was sent goalwards from distance, Alex Brown failed to deal with it, a poor goal from source to finish.

We grew it into the game but wasn’t making anything of our good possession with a few lads huffing a puffing and after gifting Celtic a few more chances we were happy to go in only two down at the break.

As you could imagine a few words were said at halt time, and they had the desired outcome when we got two quick fire goals through Luke Gill who will feed off scraps and get his rewards, his tally already at ten for the season.

The game turned into a good tussle, but we were getting the most joy and Sam Burns was put in on a few occasions but seen his opportunity’s blocked or wasted.

As all good cup ties tend to do we had a dramatic ending, and sadly it wasn’t in our favour when a Celtic set piece got a little bit of luck when a deflected touch found the man on the edge of the box and it was sent home well.

A tough end to the game and one we didn’t deserve but when you start the game the way we did you make it even harder for yourself when chasing.

The Probe Services MOM went to debutant Joe Williams who put in a solid display at centre half and looked composed throughout.
