A cup game of two half’s today, first half looking the part but second half falling apart but despite that winning 4-3 on penalties.

Flew outta the blocks and and we was two nil up with Ste Milne hitting one from the spot which was quickly followed by his second after rounding the keeper and sending it home (great pressing and pouncing on the Daisy mistake).

Daisy got one back within a minute when Tom Freeman went into a area he didn’t need to and the number 9 took it in and finished well.
A well worked goal for our third with a quality trap from JJ seen him bear down on goal but he unselfishly cut it back from Stu Crilly to get his first Breck goal.

Second half was a mirror image of what we have seen over recent weeks, lack of composure,leadership, cleverness and throw in Daisy Hill coming out with different shape and renewed focus we lost our way and near the game as they got two goals back and throw in we lost another player to a red card via two yellows it was a nervy finish.

Despite missing our first penalty and Daisy scoring there’s the pressure was on when they missed the next two and after great pens from Joe Holt & Speedy it was left to MJ to wrap it up with the decisive penalty.

The best thing to say is were through to the next round of the vase and if we can move/ progress through a few more rounds playing like we did today we would probably snatch your hand of and winning ugly is something we have been craving but we have standards and we have to find them soon.

The returning Tom Freeman picked up the Montage Memorabilia MOM on his return to competitive football…

First half was best player on the park (one mistake we let him off with) and he has not even played a pre season game or any footy for a year after injury/surgery so to get 60 odd mins you can only applaud his performance…

No rest for us a we welcome Wythenshaw Town to the Anny on Monday afternoon 3pm Kick Off for what will be our 5th game in 11 days and in that time our opponents haven’t played a competitive game only a friendly (in august) shows you the cards we have been dealt going into this game.

But we dust ourselves down and will make sure we up for the challenge against the title favorites.
