Absolutely buzzing to retain the George Mahon Cup today beating Custys 7-0.

Custys started the better of the sides and with us being sloppy and waiting for things to happen we was also causing ourselves problems but once we got the opener we then took the game away from our opponents.

Peter Donnelly heading home from close range after a Jamie Henders ball and that was quickly followed up with another Peter Donnelly finish and Hendo was again the provider.

HT 2-0

Second half we used the spaces that were appearing very well and Paul Mooney was the man to capitalise on it.

His first coming after he beat two men and getting a bit of luck the ball fell well for him and he sat the keeper down and slotted under him.

His 2nd & 3rd were quality finishes with moo dropping the shoulder for both and sending the ball into the far corner.

Peter Donnelly them wrapped his hat trick up and his 61st goal of the season (some record at any level).

It was left to Jamie Henders to get the goal his performance deserved dispatching a penalty late on to wrap up the league and cup double ??

FT 7-0

To retain the George Mahon Cup is a massive achievement and once again we’re extremely proud of all the lads.

It’s now on to Tuesday nights LCFA County Cup Final as we face Mossley Hill up on Wally Hall Park.

We Go Again.

Up The Breck...?
