Another cracking win for the lads as we beat APH 5-0 too seal another cup final date in May.

Played some quality football first half but a few outstanding saves from the APH keeper kept the scoreline at only 1-0 at the break.

Our goal coming from Peter Donnelly after a Jamie Henders effort was well saved and Peter pounced on the rebound.

APH had a good spell just before the half time whistle but our goal wasn’t tested once in that first 45.

HT 1-0

Second half was all about getting the second goal and once again we was being thwarted by some heavy saves from our opponents keeper.

It took a moment of class to beat him for a second time and it was Jamie Henders who supplied it rifling home a unstoppable first time volley from a tight angle.

Our 3rd & 4th goals came from the penalty spot with Paul Mooney dispatching the first and Peter Donnelly stepped up for the next to take his goal tally to 50 for the season in all competitions (a nice touch from Moo to give him the penalty).

A own goal was to gift us the 5th and in truth it could have been a few more in what was a great display from the lads and with our keeper not making a save throughout the 90 minutes.

We will face East Villa in the cup final on 12th May a cracker of a game that will be the season off finale.

Man of Match today was Paul Mooney who put in one of them wow
performances...First half especially no one could get near him a pleasure to watch.

Up next it’s a league game Tuesday night as we face South Sefton up on the punch bowl.

We Go Again.
