A hard fought 2-1 win tonight against South Sefton in a game that finished in near complete darkness.
Plenty of possession and chances early on but in truth we looked below par in a few areas of the pitch.
After dominating for most of the first half hour without getting that crucial opener we got sucker punched when a Sefton Player finished from close range with us being slow to react to a nothing ball.
Near instantly we replied with Ben Garrity powering home a unstoppable header from a heavy whipped in freekick from Paul Mooney.
HT 1-1
After the break it was same again with us dominating but not hitting the bet with the attempts we was creating with a cracking save from the South Sefton keeper also keeping us at bay.
With 20 minutes remaining and after a rampaging run from Jamie Morton he delivered a ball into the box and on hand was Peter Donnelly to slot home a cheeky finish
From the next attack South Sefton had a man wrongly sent off adjudged to be last man and with us pushing for that killer 3rd sometimes being a bit naive we near got sucker punched once again but Josh Molloy pulled of a cracking save to keep us 2-1 up going into the pitch black last few minutes.
FT 1-2
Certainly not vintage Breck by any stretch but job done and massive credit to the lads for coming away with another huge win in our pursuit of the league title.
Man Of Match went to Josh Molloy not only for his match winning save but playing through the pain barrier after a recent sickness.
Up next is another semi final when we face Knowsley North as we look to secure our 3rd cup final of the season.
We Go Again.
