Another big day for the Breck beating Page Celtic in the I-Zingari Cup Final 3-1 to cap of a unforgettable week for the club.
Both teams started the game well but it was us who got the important first goal of the game.
Tom Kinsella sending through a majestic ball for Jamie Henders who forced a classy save from the celts keeper before slotting him the rebound.
Jamie was quickly on the scoresheet again after a defensive mix up between the keeper & Centre half Hendo pounced on it and put away a simple tap in.
We lost our way for a few minutes after and we let the celts get on the ball and after a poor bit of play on our behalf the celts pounced on the sloppiness and got themselves back in the game.
HT 2-1
After the restart it was imperative we got straight back at it and we did just that Brodie Kearns latching on too a ball and from close range smashed it in of the crossbar.
Page has some good possession after that and we could and should have wrapped the game up with the numerous breaks we had but the game was to finish 3-1 and the Break are double cup winners ??.
Man Of Match today went to Brodie Kearns his non stop running causing havoc throughout the game.
Been a massive week for the lads and the club to finally get our hands on some much deserved silverware whilst in the top division.
The lads have put in unbelievable shifts these last few months to get ourselves in this position and credit to them all for believing and achieving what we set out for at the start of the season.
We've fell just short in the title race and without question we played are part being the only side to beat the champions in any competition this season we couldn't do anymore.
But too finish it with a cup double we would have a snatched your hands of at that at the start of this season.
We still have one game to go before the season is finished when we face Waterloo GSOB next Saturday when the individual honours will be dished out.
A massive night out for the lads and massive is planned tonight and a well deserved one it will be.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...?
