2-0 Win today for the Breck lads seen us lift the much respected George Mahon Trophy by beating APH.

A tense and subdued cup final to start with the atmosphere and early passages of play being a little flat.

We started too create a little more as the half progressed and had a glorious chance to take the lead after 30 minutes with Peter Donnelly sliding it wide of the post with the goal at his mercy.

HT 0-0

The second half was much like the first but we started to influence the game more and had a few dangerous moments and a few more great chance to take the lead.

The opener was too come from a set piece which we're causing problems throughout the game for our opponents.

Paul Mooney delivering a ball which Peter Donnelly kept alive at the back post and after a slight deflection it found its way over the line to give us a deserved lead.

We then pushed hard for a second with a Jamie Henders having the best of the opportunities but the second goal and game winner was to come from Peter Donnelly.

Callum Fairclough laying a ball out wide to Louis Austin who then delivered a cracking ball for Peter too smash home and to effectively write our name on the George Mahon Trophy.

FT 2-0

It's been a while since we got our hands on a trophy and this one is more than deserved for the shifts the lads have put in especially since October winning 25/26 games ??

With another cup final still too come and needing our opponents from today too slip up in the league the lads still have a exciting finish to the season ahead.

Man Of Match today went to Paul Mooney who's recent form has been outstanding in keeping teams strike force quite and doing it with the ease he plays the game at ????

Up next it's another Cup Final as we face Page Celtic in the I-Zingari Cup.

We Go Again.

Up The Breck...
