A depleted Breck grab another important win today coming away with a 3-1 result at home to Page Celtic.
Patchy start from us but never under any real pressure and it was a matter of time before we got the opener.
Ben Garrity pouncing on the scraps after a delightful Jamie Morton dead ball wasn't dealt with and Ben put the spillage away.
Number two seen Peter Donnelly go 1v1 with the keeper and after the celts keeper made a great save Peter lay the rebound back to Callum Fairclough who slotted it home.
Plenty of chances were to come but wasted opportunities is all we had for the remainder of the half.
HT 2-0
Second half for the majority it was all Page Celtic as we just couldn't get going with any fluency in our game and with the Celts getting on the front foot we just wasted what opening we created going forward (which is unlike us).
With ten minutes remaining our keeper was forced of injured so the gaffer (me) was called into glove action and then with five minutes on the clock we got the killer third goal to deflate any hope the Celts had.
Peter Donnelly hitting one goal bound that the keeper struggled to handle and he palmed it into the roof of the net.
FT 3-1
As I've said not the best performance from us but credit goes to Page Celtic for a tough second half when we was pushed all the way for the points.
We had six lads missing through injury today and another lad working so we was stretched for numbers so all credit to the lads for getting another three valuable points in our push for the league title.
Man Of Match went to Ben Garrity afaib who was one of the bodies pushing us forward second half showing the desire & drive we needed to see the game out.
Up next we travel to South Sefton on Derby Day in another must win game for the boys.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck...
