A classic cup tie today seen us come away with a 3-2 win against Waterloo Dock after Extra Time.
Didn't get of to the best of starts going a goal down within the first five minutes.
From there both teams huffed and puffed without anything of real note coming from the rest of the half.
HT 0-1
Second half we started the better but found ourselves a man down (we will see via the game footage if the straight red was warranted).
The lads dug deep and took the game to the Dock creating plenty of openings with a few great chances going begging.
But with less than five minutes remaining we got a deserved equaliser with the impressive Louis Austin leaving the keeper standing still with a floated finish hitting the net.
FT 1-1
Extra time started just like the first with us finding ourselves a goal down again with our marking being way to relaxed and a cross was headed home with ease.
Once again we had to dig deep and we did that taking the game back to the Dock.
ETHT 1-2
Just after the restart the Dock were then reduced to 10 men with there right back committing two fouls in quick succession.
We pounced on this and with seven minutes remaining we got a equaliser through Peter Donnelly.
Michael Darcy feeding him a quality ball and Peter taking it around the keeper and firing home a classy finish from the tightest of angles.
Both teams went close in the dying moments with the Dock hitting the bar with a effort the whole ground watched.
But with 30 seconds left on the referee's watch it was us who had the last say in the game.
With Louis Austin and Tom Kinsella doing well just outside of the box Tom jinked inside and laid a ball of for Jamie Henders who put a first time toe on it and it left the keeper flat footed and hit the back of the net (Crazy scenes ensued).
FTET 3-2
A classic cup tie in every way that today and one the lads deserved for the hard fought shifts the put in all over.
With lads struggling all over with injuries they dig deep to get a great win and now a semi final against APH.
Man Of Match went to Louis Austin who changed the game for us after his introduction and his goal was the catalyst for the fight back.
Lads back at it Tuesday night in another cup game as we face Byrom up on Wally Hall under the lights.
We go again.
