A cracking win for the Breck today as we beat the previously unbeaten APH 3-1.

Game wasn't the best on the eye for the opening 35 minutes with the referees whistle being used way too much (and it wasn't even a dirty game) throughout the opening exchanges.

We soon started to get a grip on the game after that and got a deserved lead with our passing football building more pressure on the APH back four.

Ben Garrity pouncing on a ricochet and putting it away to great scenes from the lads.

Number 2 came soon after and it was Chrissy Mcgann amongst the goals yet again.

Liam Rice keeping a ball alive at the back post knocking a header into the 6 yard box for Chrissy to pounce on and tap home with a tidy finish.

HT 2-0

Second half we come out flying and scored a quality 3rd straight after the restart.

A little passage of keep ball before Brodie Kearns beat two men down the left hand side and he delivered a quality ball for Jamie Henders to unleash first time with the instep in too the top right hand corner (a marvelous finish).

We had a couple of chances to put the nail in the coffin but they went begging and it was APH who got a late consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

FT 3-1

A deserved three points today coming on the back of a great run of wins for the lads and this win blowing the title race wide open for a few sides.

All credit to the lads who have dug deep these last two months and give ourselves a title fighting chance going into the new year.

Man of The Match vote we had a few contenders with likes of Joe Brookes & Ben Garrity both putting in top draw shifts but it was Jay Colbeck who got the vote in the middle of the park for keeping the Breck ticking whilst also getting his defensive duties spot on
