3-1 win for the lads yesterday away at Page Celtic.

After poor opening from both sides when neither could get any quality passing going we started to carve our chances with 3/4 going begging.

Our 1st goal of the game came via a set piece with Tom Kinsella delivering a peach of a ball and Ben Garrity was at the back post to head home.

HT 1-0

Second half we tried to play the ball on the floor a bit more but still struggled to get any real momentum going on the slippy/tricky pitch.

Our second goal was to come from the penalty spot with Peter Donnelly being taken out and Jamie Henders dispatched the resulting kick.

With Celtic having very limited joy in the final 3rd the game was comfortable until we gave away a penalty (yet again) and the celts were given a lifeline which they gladly took.

Soon after they were unlucky not too equalise when a well struck shot cracked of the bar and near rolled in after hitting our keepers back.

We got the killer goal not long after to save the last few minutes panic and it came after a first class ball from Peter Donnelly found the impressive Tom Kinsella and Tom took it 1v1 with the keeper and he kept his composure to slot home.

FT 3-1

Not the best performance but a big 3 points for the lads to see us bounce straight back from last weeks disappointment.

Man Of The Match vote went to Tom Kinsella for his energy all over the park and assist & goal on the day.

Next up for us is LCFA county cup action away at Bootle Reserves.

We go again.
