Hugely disappointing 2-1 defeat today to the current league champions APH after dominating for the first 65 minutes (Until daft mistakes reared there ugly heads yet again).
Not much of note from the first half other than us bossing the possession but not moving the ball quick enough to really hurt our opponents.
We had two or three chances but couldn't get the break through but with APH not having a clear shot in the opening forty five minutes we went in at the break knowing what we needed to improve on.
HT 0-0
Second half we started well and found space with the ball and it wasn't long before we got ourselves ahead with Jay Colbeck doing well in getting his goal after some great work from Tom Kinsella.
We had two great chances to grab the second goal but that final ball just lacked on both occasions.
Then the turning point of the game with us being comfortable in possession a sloppy ball was played that hit the referee and bounced straight to a APH player.
The ball was worked out wide and into the box and after a great save from Josh Molloy it bounced into the back of the net after a ricochet of our right back.
Then after another moment of sloppiness we was punished again with a sloppy ball 30 yards out being played and intercepted and the ball was laid of and dispatched with a cracking strike it has to be said (But sloppiness in our own half was a gift for our opponents yet again).
Huffed and puffed for the remainder of the game but couldn't get the equaliser our overall showing deserved.
Two mistakes two goals given away so yet again we help to beat ourselves but take nothing away from APH you see why they have won three league titles on the spin.
Least we have the chance to bounce straight back from today as we face APH again next Saturday.
MoM vote today went to Kieran Hughes who yet again put in a solid display at the back.
We will go again.
