30 MINUTES OF MADNESS

The Dock Produce A Second Half Shock

Hugely disappointing defeat today losing 5-3 to Waterloo Dock after being 3-0 up with half hour to play.

Yet again didn't start well and found ourselves defending early direct pressure mainly from set plays.

Got ourselves a foot on the ball and had a glorious chance to go 1-0 through Chrissy Mcgann which was wasted before the same player got himself his first goal of the day.

Running onto a laid of ball from Tom Kinsella Chrissy drilled a great finish low and hard leaving the keeper no chance.

His second come soon after and it was a cracking team move with Jamie Henders unselfishly giving Chrissy a easy tap in.

Half Time 2-0

We started the 2nd half getting on the ball and moving it about well and the 3rd and Chrissy's hat trick was the goal of the game.

Delightful football all over with plenty of quick neat touches and Ben Garitty looped a ball into Chrissy's path for his hat trick.

Game over you may have thought but the dock didn't think so.

We had a great chance to go 4-0 up but it was spurned and the dock changed up there formation and the directness of there game.

They pulled 2 goals back in the blink of a eye before we had another great chance to maybe kill the momentum with Tom Kinsella cracking the bar.

With the momentum swinging the equaliser came and shocking goal from ourselves it was with a hopeful ball being dispatched in 2 touches from back too front and into our net.

The winner and the nail came soon after resulting in a 5-3 defeat and a shambolic last 30 minutes from ourselves defensively & collectively as a team.

Not good enough is a understatement but it's something we will put right no question of that.

With a couple of players away it showed today in certain areas and there return can't come quick enough for me.

All credit to the dock they were good value for there fight back it has to be said.

Man Of Match Chrissy Mcgann scored a trick and wasn't on the pitch when the madness started to unfold.

Up next South Sefton at home.

We go again.
