Another big away win for the lads today beating a strong Waterloo Dock 3-1.

First half was a tetchy affair with both sides trying hard to play but with the sun sleet, hale stone & gale force winds all having a effect it was hard to get any decent football played.

Waterloo Dock had the better chances of the first half with Josh Molloy making two decent saves to take us in at the break 0-0.

With composure restored we got our foot on the ball in the second half and started to play a bit more in our opponents half and it wasn't before long we got our first goal of the day.

Just like last week Connor Roberts bending a Freekick into the net this time low and out of reach of the flat footed keeper.

We didn't have time to settle or build on the opener as Waterloo hit straight back with a well worked goal to make it one apiece.

The lads started to push for a second and with our opponents looking to sit deep and counter we was pushing them back with the channels opening up to attack.

We got our second when a whipped in ball from Franny Foy to the dangerous one chance Chrissy Mcgann who controlled with class and dispatched a sublime finish.

Chrissy hitting it with the outside of the boot into the deck for it to zip up past the keeper into the far corner a top draw finish

Our 3rd and killer goal was just as good.

With the shouts of take it into the corner being ignored Michael Darcy jinked inside cutting a ball back to Franny Foy who then put it on a plate for Jay Colbeck to rifle home a cracking strike into the top corner (2 in 2 for Jay since his recent return).

Not a vintage performance but a battling one that see's us go in the hat for the next round draw.

We have played the dock three times this season and beat them on all three occasions the lads deserve every credit for putting in them big performances.

Man Of Match today went to Callum Webb who led the back line with quality throughout and especially against one of the most feared frontmen in the league he really stepped his game up.

Up next is a massive league game as we welcome champions APH to wally hall a game that could decide our title aspirations for this season.
