The match report would take some writing as it was a truly epic game of football which had everything but sadly not the ending we wanted from our debut season in the NPL.

Whilst last night will take a little while to get over I can honestly say it one of my proudest moments as a manger seeing those lads leave everything they had on the pitch when in recent weeks many of them have struggled to give us more than 60/70% due to the injuries they have been carrying, ending the game with 17 year and 18-year-old lads on the pitch says it all, but it’s fair to say those lads helped to swing the game in our favour, and they were so close in helping to make more history for this football club.

Once again it wasn’t to be, but you have to give massive credit to my pals from Avro who we had the pleasure of sharing a cracking game of football with and will now move onto the Play Off Final on Saturday afternoon, and we wish them all the very best as they go on search of Step 3 football, to think we met each other many moons ago in a pre-season friendly when both were playing Step 7 football speaks volumes to the journey both clubs have been on.

To our supporters who have backed us Home & Away this season, there simply isn’t enough words to tell you how much your support has meant to myself and all the players, sold out mini buses near every away, those travelling on trains for the scenery (pub crawls) and that’s without those in cars which has made us take one of the best away followings around the league and one that’s been appreciated by all the clubs we have visited, the fan base continues to grow, and we hope to see you all return next season as we look to go one better and with more though the Anny gate also.

It’s been a memorable season with so many great performances home and away and am not going to list them all, but it’s fair to say we shocked a few on our arrival and once the dust settles on last night we will put a plan in place to give it another right go next season.
