It is with a heavy heart that the club announce the passing of our Chairman John Moore yesterday morning.

As a mark of respect to the family the club requested a postponement of the league fixture away at Kidsgrove Athletic.

On behalf of my family, the club and above all my Dad may i take this opportunity to thank all those who have reached out to us these last 24 hours.

The outpouring of respect from non league clubs & fans is truly heartwarming, and my mother is speechless at all the love & likes we have shown her across all the socials.

I must thank Northern Premier League & Kidsgrove Athletic who had to deal with their own issues yesterday and my family sincerely appreciate the stress the late postponement would have caused many and we can only thank you all.

We question a lot the effort we all put into non league and from myself even more so these last few months but when you see the level of respect shown in the tougher moments it makes every single bit of it worthwhile, the non league family is just that family and all rivalry is set well aside when we need each other.

Once again thank you with all my heart to all those who have reached out you have made the toughest of times feel that little bit lighter.
