Mistakes Get Punished At This Level Of Football...

Our winning run came to an end last night beaten 3-2 away at Ramsbottom.

Started the better of the sides with Cam Rooney forcing the Rammy keeper into a good early save, and we was having loads of time and space in the middle of the park as the hosts five at the back struggled to deal with the space we was creating, but we was a little to eager to release the ball and couldn’t capitalise on it with five or six good moments going to waste.

Rammy then had a good ten minute spell but it came to nothing and it was us who got the first goal of the game.

Liam Morris the serial assister at present laid it off to Lewis Buckley and Bucko sent a stunning finish into the left hand bottom corner, being right behind it you could see how well he hit it, a cracking strike.

But that joy was short lived when Rammy sent a ball long forward and with Josh Dobie electing not to put his head on it he had to back track and his attempt to knock the ball back to Theo was a little short and in turn Theo could have down better to clear his lines but he was beaten to the ball for what was a calamitous goal, especially after working hard to take the lead moments before.
HT 1-1
Second half similar to the first and we had a great chance to take the lead when Bucko went one vs one but he took it to close to the keeper when he had to get a shot of and within minutes it was 2-1 Rammy.

A ball delivered from the left hand side was headed home unopposed, will have to watch it back but with a centre half dragged out of position unsure who left one of the littlest men on the pitch to score a free header without a challenge (poor from us).

We huffed and puffed after that but it was Rammy who got that important third goal and it was coming after hitting the post moments before, a shot blocked and with the rebound falling kindly it was drilled home.

We had to go for it and got a late goal back through Bucko with yet another great finish, but it was too little to late and we also fished the game with a petulant sin bin from Danny McKenna.

FT 2-3

Hard to be critical of these lads with the great run we have been on but the errors tonight have done us and you can’t gift goals away and be forced to chase games especially on pitches like the one at Rammy when it’s hard to get a foothold on it.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Fisnik Hajdari who always looks to have that extra second on the ball, calm composed and tried to get us playing. ????

As always thanks to those who made the trip which was our third away on the spin with a good few joining us for all of them also, tough times out there and we certainly appreciate the efforts from all who have been travelling with us…❤️

Back at home Saturday as we welcome Glossop NE as we look to get back to winning ways and start another winning run, hope you can come and join us.

We Go Again.
