Cracking Win To Round Of Easter...

A strong performance today as we beat a young Pilkington side 3-0.

We opening the scoring within 2 minutes when a whipped in James Murphy ball was knocked in by Lewis Buckley despite the best efforts of the man on the line.
We was looking comfortable all over but Pilks had two good opportunities from set pieces which were put in the mixer but could only be nodded wide.
We continued to move the ball around with quality and the movement was causing problems and after a plenty of half chances we grabbed a second with James Murphy winning the ball back and delivering it once again for Lewis Buckley who glanced it home for his 14th goal in 19 games in a Breck shirt.

More chances followed with Salkeld,Douglas and Bucko all going close in what was a comfortable half for the lads

HT 2-0
Second half was similar to the first with plenty of shots being sent goal wards but most were routine saves for the Pilks cat and it was Pilks who had the best effort of the half when we had to clear one of the line from another set piece.

The game was wrapped up via a piece of brilliance from Tom Douglas.

Dougie taking a quick throw in drove down the left and after some interplay with Spud Murphy & Liam Morris, Dougie found himself just outside the box and he hit a beautiful strike leaving the keeper with zero chance.

More chances followed but the game was over as a contest with the lads putting in a strong performance.

FT 3-0

As stated Pilks arrived with a young side today due to players unavailable and they met a Breck side looking for a big performance as we look to maintain our position in the top half of the table, job done.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Liam Morris who was the driving force throughout and when he in the mood to play it’s a joy to watch.
Tom Douglas & James “spud” Murphy were also influential as was the 9/10 man Fitzy.

Thanks to those in attendance today your support was very much appreciated, pay what you want on the gate was a great success as was the Easter raffle supplied by Rachel Baldwin which was won by club physio Rhiannon Morris…

Next up it’s across the pond we go as we travel over to the Isle Of Man for another tough away day, good few making the trip and we hope to reward the support with another big away showing.

We Go Aagin.

Up The Breck…
