Another game of very little yesterday with a penalty settling it in favour of Wythenshawe 1-0.
Hard to right anything of note with both keepers rarely tested in game that wasn’t boring but never really came to light.
We got ourselves into dangerous areas 4/5 times and on each occasion it was wasted via mis control or high and wide efforts.
The winning goal came when we switched off for second from the front and with a easy ball being played through the middle (way to easily) the Wythenshaw number nine found himself running into the box and the on rushing Theo brought him down as the frontman’s touch was taking him away from goal.
We probably should have had a penalty and around 20 free kicks in dangerous areas but the man in the middle was consistent in not giving any fouls for shirts being pulled despite lads being dragged too the ground, but as I say he was consistent in his decision making for both.
FT 0-1
Last few weeks we have lost that spark and i can probably say that about the teams we have faced also as the last fours games ain’t been pretty on the eye, but if your winning them your happy and at this stage of a season the likes of Wythenshaw will gladly take them when there is a title on the line.
Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Tom Mitchell who was solid throughout keeping a busy forward line relatively quiet for the best part of the game.
As always we thank those in attendance with some friends and old faces popping along with there teams not in action.
Slightly disappointed with the gate numbers this season and it’s one we need to address going into the next campaign as we look to boost the home attendances and have a steady gate when at home.
Next up we welcome Chadderton to the Anny, we hope you can come join us as we look to get back to winning ways as we look to solidify a top half finish.
We Go Again.
