All square last night as we drew 0-0 with Colne.
The majority of the games chances came in the first half with Theo Robert’s called into action twice with both saves being first class and the Colne attackers looked certain to score.
We had two big chances also, Jay Salkeld hitting the crossbar with a looping shot and Michael Fitzgerald hitting the inside of the pair with a stunning strike.
Plenty of good deliveries into the box from ourselves with Tom Douglas whipping a few in but just fine margins each time.
HT 0-0
Second half wasn’t great with the only notable big moment seen Theo called into action once again, this time from the penalty spot after Paul Mooney was adjudged to have fouled the man running in behind him (looked a pen to me).
Theo stood tall and pulled off a comfortable save from what was a weak penalty.
We grew into the game and the introduction of three players gave us more energy but our quality at the last moment just wasn’t there on the night.
FT 0-0
Not the result both sides wanted as we both try to stay on that coat tails of those in the play offs but a point nevertheless and clean sheet and we move onto Remyca away on Wednesday night.
Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Theo Roberts who was outstanding when called upon and his saves in the first half were more than worthy of the vote alone, the penalty save just backs it up.
As always massive thanks to those who poppped along to the Anny, just over 200 in attendance, sadly no goals for all to see but as they say you can’t win em all.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck…❤️
