Another Great Away Day As Breck Blank Gate...

Another cracking away win and performance from the lads coming away from Squires Gate with a 3-0 win.

One of the toughest pitches to play on at the best of times was made worse with the weather and fair to say it wasn’t a pretty game but both teams tried to play football, and you also have to give our hosts massive credit for indeed getting the game on…??

The opening half was mainly all Breck and it was a case of could we take one of the many opportunity’s coming our way not only from open play but the many set pieces we was getting on the back of our chances.

The best chance we had before the opening goal came seen a quality ball from Liam Morris flicked on by Lewis Buckley which hit the inside of the post and then the defenders leg to go just past the post.

We kept knocking on the door and the opener came, and it was the impressive Lewis Buckley who took on a delivery from James Murphy, after seeing his first attempt saved he was quick to react to follow it up with a second attempt and it hit the back of the net.

HT 1-0

Gate started the second half the brighter of the sides ,but it was sloppy from both for the opening ten minutes of the half, that was until Lewis Bucko forced a outstanding save from Squires keeper and we stared to ask questions again.

The second goal of the game seen Liam Morris chase down a lost cause and after somehow keeping the ball in he then found his feet and laid it of for Bucko who flashed a ball across the 6 yard box and Anthony Walsh was on hand for his 4th goal of the season.

Gate came into the game a bit more and had some good moments themselves with Theo having to produce a few quality saves, the best being from a free kick on the edge of our box and as it was sent low and hard towards the bottom corner, Theo was forced into a cracking save.

Another chance seen Shay Stansfield have to be alert as another ball flashed across the 6 yard box which could have seen an easy tap in for a gate attacker.
The game was wrapped up in the 98th minute when that man Lewis Buckley.

Bucko finding himself out on the right hand side, shifted the ball onto his left peg and he sent over a sweet finish leaving him the keeper with no chance at all, capping another outstanding performance from the big man.

FT 3-0

Another great away win, and there has been a few this season, but to go to gate on a tricky pitch and come away with our third clean sheet in four games you gotta be more than happy with the result and performance.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Lewis Buckley who it’s fair to say has come into the club and gave us a massive lift with his performances, 6 goals in 8 games and another classy showing from Bucko. ????

A mention for debutante Tom Mitchell who put in a big shift playing outta position for us, Theo & Josh Dobie also having great games aswell. ??

Thank you those who travelled with us yesterday, not the numbers we travelled with at the end of the last season and certainly not the weather either, but we got the result for those who could make the trip and as always it’s more than appreciated by us all…❤️

Next up it’s Longridge away which is always a tough away day for us but if we want to stay in this run of from another big away day is a must.

We Go Again.

Up The Breck…❤️
