POINT SECURED LATE ON BUT THREE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NAILED

Just like our last to Barnoldswick a 3-3 thriller with a late goal grabbing us a deserved point.

Started the game well and got ourselves two goals infront with Tom McNamara once again on hand with a brace.

His first coming from a Connor Millington ball and after Tom seen his first attempt well saved he followed it up with a nest and tidy finish.
Goal number two seen great link up play between Tom & Connor Rankin and with a little back heal from Connor into his path Tom grabbed his second of the game and his eighth in as many games since his return from holiday.

Cruising and relatively comfortable we do what we always do and that’s gift a goal away, Danny McKenna playing a blind ball inside straight to the Barlick number 9 who gladly took the gift and smashed one past Theo.

Momentum swung for rest of the half.

HT 2-1

As expected our hosts came out strong and after we weathered the initial pressure we was soon under the cosh and having to make a change with Danny Mc needing replacing through injury we was looking shaky and Town got a deserved equalizer.

We had two good chances up the other end when Adam Pepper was put in a great position but he didn’t let his shot go and Tom Mc then seen a shot blocked also, back up the other end Theo made a truly stunning save from a free kick before Fitzy headed one wide that was sailing in.

And it was comeback complete for Barnoldswick when the impressive number nine cut across the box on his his left side and smashed one in the roof of the net.

A few tactical switches seen us push for a equalizer and we found it late on when a Rankin flick on was run onto by Adam Pepper who scuffed one into the far corner (relief).

We then had a cracking opportunity to win it when Tom Mc had chance to take a touch but he swiveled on it first time and sadly blazed over and the final whistle came straight after.

FT 3-3

Another game we have to be disappointed not to win after going two up but once again we can highlight the turning point in the game and keep on the lads to cut out the costly mistakes we keep on making.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to the impressive Tom McNamara who was playing out of position but as always done it with no complaints and grabbed himself another brace of goals.

It’s 3 home games on the spin for us and we start with Glossop in the Macron Cup this Thursday night 8pm kick off, all the support we can get down the Anny will be very much appreciated.
