Tom Mc Hits Fifth In Four...

A much needed and deserved 3-1 win last night for the lads.

First half see very few chances but with us having a lot of possession and Burscough looking to hit us on the counter, but from the chances we did see seen both keepers made very good saves when called upon.

HT 0-0

Lads came out second half and for best part played the conditions very well keeping the ball on the floor.

Our first goal seen Tom McNamara grab his 5th in 4 games and it was another poachers finish after the impressive Danny McKenna seen his effort slide across the face of goal and Tom was on hand to tap it home at the back post.

Near instantly we let Burscough in but a weak finish saved our blushes after being undone too easy.

We pouched on a Burscough mistake for the second and it was Tom McNamara who forced it, with great pressing and with the ball falling to Connor McCarthy he sent home a very tidy finish.

In typical Breck fashion we let our opponents back in the game and yes there was a element any have of luck for how the ball ricocheted in the box but we have to command our 6 yard box better as a team.

Before Burscough could build any momentum on the back of it we got that killer third goal and it was Tom McNamara involved once again with the equally impressive Connor Rankin finishing it off after his pressing seen us win the ball back and from a Michael Fitzgerald delivery Rankin knocked it home from close range and the game was done.

FT 3-1

Overall a good performance from the lads to end what’s been a tough few weeks of losing games we deserved much more from and tonight was a solid enough performance knowing we can be much better also so we take that and move on.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to Tom McNamara who was a massive presence once again, with his running and pressure so valuable to the formation and with 5 goals in 4 games he is now starting to deliver what was asked of him.

Connor Rankin & Danny McKenna were impressive in there work also…

Near 200 on a windy Friday night down at the Anny, we appreciate all those who came down to support us once again…

A much needed midweek off now before we travel to Padiham next Saturday afternoon.

We Go Again.

Up The Breck…
