BRECK BOW OUT OF THE VASE ON PENS

A below par performance that we near got away with yesterday, but sadly went out 4-1 on penalties.

A game littered with mistakes from both sides, with Hallam’s main threat being there set pieces and in truth they was the only thing making the game exciting.

We gave the lads a few words at half time but we didn’t get much of a reaction until we made substitutions and then late on we grabbed what looked like the winner when Levi Chibuku jinked Inside and sent home a cracking finish.

Sadly the game management that has been near perfect in recent weeks wasn’t there and instead of keeping the ball we turned it over and invited pressure on and for the third time in six games we gave away another soft penalty which was dispatched to send the game to pens.

FT 1-1

Penalty shoot out seen Connor Millo socre the first for us but sadly Fitzy & Bobby Walsh missed there kicks and it was curtains on our Vase run for another season.

Pens 1-4

A disappointing performance in such a big game with so many players way below par and once again to see a penalty costing us it’s another frustration as we’ve now gone six games without conceding from open play but counts for nothing if your don’t get something from the game.
Have to say we had 4/5 lads playing with heavy knocks yesterday and with the schedule giving no time to rest anyone it’s a tough run of fixtures and one we have to keep working through but with another 2/3 bad injuries yesterday it’s a tough time for the lads.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went Liam Morris who tried to drive us on second half and get us playing.

The very best of luck to Hallam in the next round and we hope for a speedy recovery for the injured player as we do for Godwin Adabaki who also took a very bad knock.
