FIVE STAR BRECK DISPATCH THE NON LEAGUE REDS

A cracking 5-0 win in the FA Cup today away at AFC Liverpool with the lads doing exactly what we have been asking of them.

The very first passage of play set the tone for what was to come with us moving the ball front to back with quality and intent.

It took eight minutes for the opener to come and it was a cracking move from front to back finished off by James “spud” Murphy after a Joe Camozzi cut back found Spud he dug it outta his feet and sent home a cracking finish.

We was looking a threat all over and and another sweeping move seen great movement from Joe Camozzi create space for Connor Millington to overlap into and his cut back found Connor Rankin who sent home a tidy finish.

It could have been three when Luke Sephton spun his man in the box but took one touch too many before being thwarted by the keeper.

AFC had one or two moments towards the end of the half but without testing Theo and right on the stroke of half time Luke Sephton pounced on a error and got his goal with a well taken left footed finish into the bottom corner.

HT 3-0

Second half we started well but a little bit of sloppiness crept in and we gave AFC a little bit of encouragement but with a couple of well timed substitutions we pulled the game back in our favour and grabbed another two cracking goals.
Number four seen Roman Allen power home a header from a majestic Bobby Walsh ball from the left hand side (with Bobby on his third debut for the side after signing late Friday).

The fifth seen some tremendous work from Tom Mcnamara who got to the bye line and sent a little back heel across the box taking out the keeper for a simple tap in for Luke Sephton and the game was well and truly wrapped up.

FT 5-0

Certainly not a easy as the result suggests but you have to give our lads all the credit for the way they started the game and playing at a tempo within the first minute that AFC couldn’t contain.

We have said if we stick to the structure and patterns of pre season we be a tough side to face and today showed just that.

Montage Memorabilia MOM went to James “Spud” Murphy who was top draw once again getting himself in the score sheet and running amok at times also.

Some fantastic support for the lads once again and great to receive that ovation at the end, goes without saying we thank you all once again folks.
